The link posted previously does non provide a solution.

Why is android and then weird nigh letting you download to the SD card. Seems you lot take to root your telephone to exercise it.

Is at that place something Android programs into phones that essentially spys and keeps runway of everything and thats why they strength you to download to internal storage?

You deceit even motility apps to an SD bill of fare, yous can motility parts of an app but most of it stays behind. Not only that just some apps DOUBLE in size after moving to SD. makes no sense! Just let me purchase an SD card and actually utilize it!

Is there something Android is hiding from us? Why else would they care what goes on an SD menu. If I wanted no control over my device I'd purchase Apple tree.

I used a way to store the apps into SD card. It doesn't straight store apps in SD card when downloaded from playstore. Only yous can transfer it afterwards, after downloading, using this method.

1. Open Settings
2. Open Awarding Manager
iii. From the downloaded apps, click on the app that you want to transfer to SD bill of fare.
4. You can see an push button which says, Motility to SD card there. Click on that and wait for the procedure to go finished.
v. Washed!

I am still looking for a way to modify my settings to store downloaded apps into SD card straight. Till so, this way helps!
Hope this helped!

Although I have shifted the storage from phone to SD card but still I am getting the upshot related to storage. Buy here the simple style to move your storage from to SD card first become to setting so curl down and there volition be an option names Storage and etc. Just click on that option and there you will meet 2 options like which storage option is on either phone or SD card. If the pick is selected to Phone, and so move to SD card from phone. That's all

I have an SD carte du jour and would like to download apps straight to the SD instead of the telephone itself. How can I practice that?

The all-time way I accept found to do this is use the Samsung Internet browser. There is the choice to modify to the SD card in the settings of the browser.

It doesn't let you cull where on the menu. But that's better than zero and doesn't crave annihilation fancy.

Settings => Internet => Advanced => Content settings => Default storage => SD card

I'one thousand virtually to install the new OS update, so who knows where it'll be after that (currently running 5.0).

  • #xiii

  • #xiv
Well I tried all the above to no joy but through playing around discovered how like shooting fish in a barrel it really is.
Go to settings ==>Nearby Devices==>Download to==>the select where you desire to store to

Settings => Internet => Avant-garde => Content settings => Default storage => SD card
This is selection if it is in that location , information technology would be applicative when you download using a browser right ?
What about when you download from Play Store ?

The settings should work for downloads from the Net, regardless of whether you connect to the Internet via Play or a browser. It won't work with apps that are engineered to download to and operate from the phone's internal storage exclusively.

What about when you download from Play Store ?

I hate when people respond and information technology's doesn't coincide with the phone they're referring to in the question. There is no Settings=>Net on my S5

Again, as many have already said, automobile storage to your SD card is dependent on your device. My s5 for instance won't allow it. Using the application director still works to let you motion files over from downloads which will movement the app in its entirety.
On a side annotation, if you lot are still getting that error about memory, go to settings and detect Storage and clear out your App Data Cache. Even though the apps kick from the SD card the data notwithstanding stores in the phones cache which incidentally does have up hard disk, and I use the discussion loosely, space. Clearing the cache can clear up to a few gigs of information, peculiarly if yous oft download apps to attempt out.
